T-terminal + stainless steel base from Blue Wave. A terminal is used to secure the end of a steel wire rope so that the wire rope can only move in one direction. It can be used, for example, functionally to brace a structure, or architecturally for exhibition purposes. In addition, they can be used to tension a mast in a stay to stabilize the mast and thereby the boat. The terminals are roll-swaged around the steel wire rope, meaning that the terminal is crimped around the steel wire rope using a tool to secure it to an anchoring point. Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a single block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds and thus their products can withstand extra strain.
