Stainless steel eye terminal from Blue Wave. A terminal is used to secure the end of a steel wire so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can be used, for example, functionally to brace a structure, or architecturally for exhibition purposes. In addition, they can be used to tension a mast in a stay to stabilize the mast and thereby the boat. The terminals are rolled onto the steel wire, i.e., the terminal is compressed around the steel wire using a tool to secure it to an anchor point. Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a single block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds, and thus their products can withstand extra stress.
