The outrigger tube keeps the tarpaulin clear of the hull, preventing wear on the boat and ensuring good ventilation. The frame is adjustable in two ways: height and the outrigger tube's distance from the hull. The number of legs is chosen based on the number of stanchions the boat is equipped with. An aft arch (which keeps the tarpaulin clear of the stern) is available as an accessory.
