Stainless steel fork terminal from Blue Wave.
A terminal is used to hold the end of a steel wire so that the wire can only move in one direction. For example, it can be used functionally to fasten a structure, or architecturally for exhibition purposes. In addition, they can be used to tension a mast in a stay to stabilize the mast and thus the boat.
The terminals are rolled onto the steel wire, i.e., the terminal is pressed onto the steel wire with a tool to secure it to an anchoring point.
Danish company Blue Wave manufactures its products from a single block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds, allowing their products to withstand extra loads.
