Gelcoat is pigmented and slightly adhesive polyester that forms the outer colored layers on, for example, a fiberglass hull. Topcoat is Gelcoat that contains 5% paraffin solution, and forms the outermost sandable and polishable layer on a gelcoat surface. The consistency is slightly thixotropic, so the product can be rolled, brushed, and spray applied.
Gelcoat and Topcoat in 1kg are standard items in the 7 colors shown below but can be custom ordered in the same colors found in the small 100g filler packaging. About a hundred other RAL and NCS colors can also be custom ordered from a Nautec dealer. (Price upon request).
