Gelcoat is pigmented, slightly adhesive polyester that forms the outer coloured layers of, for example, a fibreglass hull. Topcoat is Gelcoat that contains 5% paraffin solution, and forms the outermost sandable and polishable layer on a gelcoat surface. The consistency is slightly thixotropic, so the product can be rolled, brushed, and spray applied.
Gelcoat and Topcoat in 1kg are standard products in the 7 colours shown below, but can be special ordered in the same colours as found in the small 100g filler packaging. About a hundred other RAL and NCS colours can also be special ordered from a Nautec dealer. (Price on request).
