T-terminal + stainless steel base from Blue Wave. A terminal is used to secure the end of a steel wire so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can be used functionally, for example, to brace a construction, or architecturally for display purposes. Additionally, they can be used to brace a mast in a "stay" to stabilize the mast and thus the boat. The terminals are roll-swaged onto the steel wire, meaning the terminal is crimped around the steel wire using a tool to secure it to an anchor point. Danish company Blue Wave manufactures its products from a single block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds, and thus their products can withstand extra stress.
