Woodskin is a flexible wood oil/varnish hybrid that acts like a skin for the wood. Its microporous properties allow Woodskin to let the wood breathe; tiny holes in the varnish film allow it to shrink and expand as the wood moves, yet they are so small that the surface still repels water – which otherwise causes mold and rot. Woodskin is very easy to apply without thinning or sanding between coats. The surface spreads evenly and smoothly to a slightly translucent, satin-gloss finish.
Woodskin is thin and penetrates deep into the wood, minimizing the risk of cracking and flaking. Minimal maintenance – only cleaning and then a new coat is what is needed for a new season. The light brown Teak shade enhances the wood's luster and is particularly suitable for oily woods such as teak.
