Your position is sent to nearby vessels equipped with AIS, via your own AIS equipment. The TB-520 is small, lightweight and easy to use. In an emergency, the TB-520 can be activated either automatically (via water sensor) or manually. When activated, a warning message with GPS position and a unique AIS MOB number, pre-programmed into the unit, is sent. The unit can be attached to your life jacket with the included clips. Remove the red cap to use the antenna. Pull off the yellow tab to activate the unit manually. Hold up the antenna for the best possible signal. IP68 waterproof down to 50 meters. Battery life: Must be replaced after 5 years.
