Specially designed for use on water and has the following features: · Individual focus · Magnification/lens 7x50 · BaK-4 prism · Angle of view: 7.5 (132 m at 1000 m) · Shock-absorbing black/blue rubber reinforcement · Foldable eyecups – a great advantage for glasses wearers · Nitrogen-filled · Fully multi-coated · Waterproof · Floats · Supplied with case and strap Individual Focus Each eyepiece is first adjusted manually, then it automatically maintains focus. Magnification/Lens 7x50 The image is seven times larger than what the naked eye sees. 7x is the recommended magnification for marine binoculars. The second number, 50, indicates the diameter of the lens. The higher the number, the better the light input. This is an advantage in poor light conditions. For marine use, a 50 mm lens is recommended. BaK-4 Prism Barium prism material. It is excellent at transmitting light and image from the lens, through the prisms to the eyepiece and out to the eye. BK-4 is excellent quality optics. Angle of View: 7.5 The angle of view in degrees indicates the width of the image that can be seen at a distance of 1000 meters. An angle of view of 7.5º gives a width of 132 m at a distance of 1000 meters. Fully Multi-Coated 95% light transmission.
