Magnification/lens 7x50 The image is seven times larger than what the naked eye sees. 7x is the recommended magnification for marine binoculars. The second number, 50, indicates the diameter of the objective lens. The higher the number, the better the light intake. This is an advantage in poor light conditions. For marine use, a 50 mm lens is recommended. BaK-4 prism Barium prism material. It is excellent for transmitting light and image from the objective lens, through the prisms to the eyepiece and out to the eye. BK-4 is excellent quality optics. Angle of view: 7.0 The angle of view in degrees indicates the width of the image that can be seen at a distance of 1000 meters. An angle of view of 7.0º provides a width of 132 m at a distance of 1000 meters. Full multi-coated 95% light transmission. Uses 1 pc. CR2 battery
